Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get involved, and what kinds of help do you need?
Welcome! There is no sign up or registration — you can just show up any given Monday at Bannock Street and 14th Avenue (in front of Denver City Hall) from 4-7pm, rain or shine and regardless of holidays. There are many needs and roles, to suit all interests, skills and availability!
We start setup at 3:30pm, and can always use help with unloading and situating equipment and supplies, setting up lighting (in fall/winter). Other tasks at the MAM weekly gathering include: food service, clothing sorting/hanging on racks, staying on top of trash pickup and disposal, helping with break-down and packing up.
Outside of the weekly gathering, there is much to do and many options, including joining one of our work groups (food for MAM meal, fundraising, social media, clothing donation management, and more). Also, taking responsibility for a specific task, like bringing home and washing our serving implements, and bringing clean ones to MAM meal at event set up, being available for donation pickups and delivery requests as they arise.
